Lesson FAQ's

How do I test my internet connection speed?

Test your internet connection speed by clicking here: SPEEDCHECK . A minimum speed of 500 kbps (download and the upload) is recommended.  Connection speeds may vary at different times of day.  A higher internet connection speed is preferred.

Why won't my webcam connect?

Check to see if other video chat programs such as Skype or iChat are not running and already connected to the camera.  Also make sure you have the latest Adboe Flashplayer installed on your computer:  http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Why is the video freezing or choppy?

This is probably caused by a slow internet connection.  Close any other applications that are running on your computer that might be competing for the bandwidth of your connection (such as music or video streaming).   You might try moving closer to your wireless router.  If this doesn't help, please find a faster internet connection to use for your next lesson.
